Yoga Lin You Jia of Xing Guang Bang and Jade Liu Li Yang who both released their debut albums in the first week of last month had a duet called The Legend or Chuan Shuo which was included in both albums. This duet is the ending theme song of the Mandarin version [read: dubbed] of the Korean drama, The Legend, which is also known as The Story Of The First King’s Four Gods. This epic drama was produced with a huge budget of USD$46 million and the whole production took nearly 4 years. This 24-episode series is also the comeback drama for heartthrob Bae Yong Joon, star of Winter Sonata, after his disappointing role in April Snow. In addition to the impressive budget and cast, The Legend had an equally stunning computer-generated images [CGI] for a breath-taking visual effects.

Alan Dawazhuoma or popularly known as Alan, is a Japan-based Chinese singer of Tibetan descent who debuted with the single, Ashita e no Sanka, in last November. Alan was picked from an audition held in Beijing by Avex China and brought to Japan because the company is confident that she would make an impact in the Japanese music industry. This album, Red Cliff, contains 4 songs including Heart War or Xin Zhan which is the theme song of the upcoming John Woo’s battle epic, Red Cliff. The other songs are the Mandarin versions of her Japanese releases which are Yi Ge of Hitotsu, San Sheng Shi, San Sheng Lu of Sakura Modern and Mi Shi De Zhu Fu of Tokyo Mimei.
Various artistes from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong are producing and singing songs for the upcoming Beijing Olympic 2008 in the hope of getting their songs selected to be the official theme song. Some of them like boy band 5566 has 2 songs for this huge event. However, only 24 songs will be featured in the official Beijing Olympic 2008 album and only one of them will be selected to become the official theme song.
