As promised in the ‘protected’ post, Mavis Hee - Forever Friend Collection, here’s one very similar album, Valen Hsu Forever Friends Collection, by Valen Hsu [even the title of the album is identical!]. This compilation album was released before Xu Ru Yun’s last album, Latitude 66 Degrees, was released last December. As with Mavis Hee, Valen Hsu reached her peak in terms of popularity in the late 1990s where she was voted as the best female pop vocalist in Asia by a Japanese magazine. However, she took a break in 2004 before coming back with a new album in the form of Latitude 66 Degrees. Forever Friends Collection contains a total of 16 hits from her music career including the duet with Panda Xiong.

With Lyric!: Zhou Hui - Hao Xiang Hao Hao Ai Ni

Zhou Hui is a Taiwanese singer who just like Julia Peng, another Taiwanese singer with at least a dozen of good songs, is still relatively under-rated compared to other [undeservedly] more popular singers. Zhou Hui may not have the look of her younger and much prettier ‘juniors’ such as Rainie Yang Cheng Lin or the sexy image of Jolin Tsai but she certainly has the sweet voice and ability to sing good, touching ballads. In fact, I’m certain most of Chinese music fans have heard of at least a few of her songs but have no idea on ‘their singers’. Fret not, this is the [most probably] only reason this blog exists: to give exposure to good, deserving Chinese songs and artistes to the worldwide audience.
