What Is The Problem?

As stated in the About page, this blog is created mainly to provide the latest information on Chinese music to non-Chinese educated Chinese music lovers from all over the world. This blog aims to encourage Chinese music lovers to buy good, original music by introducing the works from both new and established artistes through free sampling of their songs.

However, the large and rapidly increasing number of visitors to this blog have used all of the current resources available. In just a month after its launch, this blog needs to host all its images mostly album covers with 2 free image hosts which are barely enough for such large amount of visitors. The use of more new free image hosts for the coming months will certainly increase the amount of time spent on uploading the images.

Furthermore, the loading time has increased significantly for the past few weeks due to the images scattered on the various slow image hosts. Being hosted on a free hosting account also means longer loading time because the server provided is not capable of serving high number of visitors. The reliability is another problem with free hosting account where this blog has been taken down for multiple times over the last 2 months.

Why You Need To Donate?

I want to focus my time directly on providing more quality content on this blog without having to deal with the slow upload and reliability issues. The money received will be used to pay for a fast and reliable hosting for this blog in order to continue growing bigger and better. This greatly helps in ensuring the existence of this blog and its goal of reaching out to all Chinese music lovers.

Initially, the money will be used to pay for a 6-month hosting because it’s cheaper compared to paying on a monthly basis. Thus, much larger amount of fund is needed initially but this provides saving in the long run. As a small token of appreciation, I’ve prepared a small gift to every donor who donates at least USD$10.00. I’ll personally contact them to let them know of their gift.
