Hulu: Watch Online Videos Legally

Hulu which went public just 2 days ago, is an online video joint venture of News Corp and General Electric’s NBC Universal. It offers full-length episodes of more than 250 TV series, both old and current series, such as House, The Simpsons, Battlestar Galactica and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Hulu also provides full length movies such as Ice Age and The Usual Suspects, and from sports leagues such as National Basketball Association [NBA]. The programming are provided by Warner Bros, Television Group, Lionsgate and other networks.

Hulu is providing all the videos for free and getting its revenue from short 15 to 30 second advertisements. Some of the advertisers are Nissan, Best Buy Co Inc, and Unilever PLC. It was voted as the best video start-up of 2007 by the readers of the influential technology blog, Techcrunch. Unfortunately, the online videos being offered by Hulu is currently only available to US residents. Hopefully, Hulu will start to embrace users from other countries in the near future.
