Microsoft Office Live Workspace

Microsoft Office Live Workspace which was initially launched as a private beta or invitation-only service in October 2007 is now open to the public. The launch of public beta stage brings new features and improvements over existing features such as larger storage space of 500MB or more than 1000 documents of average size. However, Office Live Workspace isn’t a full-fledged online office suite such as Google Docs because it’s an online extension of its offline desktop Microsoft Office suite.

A user needs to have Microsoft Office suite with installed Office Add-In to have access to Office Live Workspace from anywhere and the ability to edit them directly within right the desktop software. An edited document will be previewed online automatically after changes were saved to the downloaded copy. Furthermore, Office Live Workspace keeps track of every version of a document, allowing the user to roll back to a previous copy.
