Karen Kong - Showtime

Karen Kong or Karen K is a Malaysian Chinese singer who was eliminated in the first round of Malaysian Idol 2004, a singing competition a la American Idol. She was undeterred and released an EP entirely in the Malay language in 2007. The singles in her debut EP became instant hits which lead to the release of a full Malay album. Then, she made headlines again by being the first Malaysian artiste to hold a full concert on the web! The rapid increase in popularity and the success of her debut album allowed her to release her first full Mandarin album, Showtime.
