Adobe has entered the online office market by acquiring Virtual Ubiquity’s Buzzword, a Flash-based word processor and will directly compete with Google Docs, Zoho, ThinkFree, Zimbra and Microsoft Office Live Workspace which is currently in beta stage. Buzzword is currently an invite-only preview but the service will remain free after it goes public.
The official website of Buzzword can be found here. Here’s a full article on the acquisition of Virtual Ubiquity’s Buzzword by Adobe.
